Swim Lessons (March 2026) - MINNOWS/LEVEL ONE - Minnows (8:55 - 9:35 AM) Swimming lessons are an essential part of a child's education. Being able to swim properly increases confidence, which makes time in the water a safe and enjoyable experience. Our Progressive Swim Lessons are taught by certified American Red Cross Lifeguards, with an enthusiasm and dedication to helping children achieve their swimming goals. Progressive lessons are for children 5 years old and up. Swim lessons are offered on Saturdays for 5 weeks. Children must pass all skills in the current level to move on to the next level. For the best progression, children should attend every class, if possible. Goggles are recommended, though we do not allow those that cover the nose. Dolphins Swim Team: Pre-Season Competitive Swimming Program (SP26) - Junior Pre-Season (Swim Team Experience Required; ages 6 - 11 years old) This program will give swimmers an opportunity to focus on race strategy, conditioning, technique and operating as a team. This is NOT a swim lesson program. Swimmers must be able to swim the 4 strokes with proficiency. Those who register and do not have the required skill for the program, will be refunded minus the 10% processing fee and classes attended.Introduction to Swim Team(Novice Swimmers; ages 6 – 11 years old)Experience required to participate. Must have passed level three of swim lessons (Stingrays) and be able to confidently swim the length of the pool, arms out of the water, without stopping. Swimmers will learn to swim all four competitive strokes, freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly as well as technical fundamentals. Participants must be comfortable swimming in the deep end and 800 yards per practice. Learn the fundamentals of being part of a team, including how an actual swim meet is run. LIMIT 20. Junior Pre-Season - GROUP FULL, PLEASE ADD TO WAITLIST.(Swim Team Experience Required: Ages 6 – 11 years old)Open to swimmers who have been members of the Enfield Dolphins Swim team in the past. Those retuning swimmers who are 6 – 11 years old are recommended to sign up for this group. Swimmers are expected to be able to complete 100 - 200 yards without stopping. Learn skills that will be seen throughout the competitive season and progressively build endurance each session. LIMIT 16. Senior Pre-Season(Swim Team Experience Required: Ages 12 – 18 years old)Open to swimmers who have been members of the Dolphins Swim Team in the past. Those returning swimmers who will be 12 – 18 years old are recommended to sign up for this group. Swimmers are expected to be able to complete 300 yards without stopping.
