Progressive Swim Lessons (Summer 2026) - BARRACUDAS (level five)
Swimming lessons are an essential part of a child's education. Being able to swim properly increases confidence, which makes time in the water a safe and enjoyable experience. Our Progressive Swim Lessons are taught by certified American Red Cross Lifeguards, with an enthusiasm and dedication to helping children achieve their swimming goals.
Classes are for children 5 – 12 years old as of the first class. Each session will have eight students and are offered in one-week sessions, Monday-Friday. Children must be able to participate independently, follow instructor directions, and have a willingness to go in the water. Students may wear googles, which do not cover their nose (no mask style) during lessons.
Children must pass all skills in the current level to move on to the next level. For the best progression, children should attend every class, if possible. To determine proper class placement, please review the level descriptions.
Barracudas: Standing dive, surface dive, tread water for 2 minutes, survival float for 2 minutes, backstroke/crawlstroke/sidestroke/backstroke and butterfly 2 laps of the pool each.
Note: Barracudas is the fifth level of the Progressive Swim Lessons program.
